The Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) has emerged to meet the felt need of having quality human resources for the public health care which is identified as a priority by the Government of India and by the world including the USA. The BPH course offers essential global public health knowledge and skill sets to equip students for professional opportunities in a wide range of local and global contexts. Public Health Graduates would strengthen public health services in the country. The BPH course is interdisciplinary and covers social science, life science, environmental science, health science, health administration, epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Promotion.

Bachelor of Public Health at IHS offers competency-based learning, field-based practice, networking opportunities, and one-to-one mentorship ensuring skills and competencies among graduates, hence making them job ready. In addition, value-added certificate courses such as scientific writing, communication & interpersonal skills, technology & health, research methods, etc., will give students to stand out among their peers.

The BPH graduates can join the government, private and NGO sectors as Public Health Managers, Research Assistants, Field Investigators, Health Data Managers, Project Assistants, etc., or move to become public health specialists by pursuing Masters and Doctoral public health programme.

Eligibility:

Passed 10+2 or equivalent certificate from a recognized school education board or ANM or LHV or Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Pharmacy, or Lab Technician course or any equivalent. The candidates should have a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

Course Duration:

Three Years Full Time along with Internship
