Grievance Redressal
Institute of Health Sciences, a Grievances Committee in the Institute will deal with the grievances of teachers and other employees of the Institute and hear and settle grievances of these employees. The committee will report to the Members of the Grievances Redressal Cell for further action.
The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) aims to look into the complaints lodged by any student and redress it as per requirement. The students can state their grievance regarding any academic and non- academic matter within the campus through the online and grievance/ suggestion box. A student grievance cell in a college is a formal system for students to lodge complaints. The cell's function is to look into complaints and judge their merit. The cell can also look into matters of harassment.
The objectives of a student grievance cell include:
- Keeping the college's self-esteem.
- Ensuring a strife-free atmosphere in the college.
- Encouraging a cordial student-teacher relationship.
- Helping students record their complaints and solve their problems. Students can file a grievance with the College Grievance Redressal Cell (CGRC). The campus hearing body follows a set of formal procedures as per UGC Guidelines.
- Institute has a student grievance redressal committee consisting of some fcultyies , management and administrative persons of the Institution.
The role of a student grievance redressal committee in college is to:
- Review complaints: Look into complaints lodged by students and staff, and judge their merit.
- Address problems: Address genuine problems and complaints of students and staff.
- Maintain harmony: Develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all stakeholders to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere.
- Resolve grievances: Address and resolve grievances or complaints raised by students related to academic, administrative, or other concerns within the institution.
- Anti-ragging squad will be assisted by members of college teaching staff detailed by the office of the principal on day to day basis to keep vigil on untoward events.
The committee may also:
- Look into matters of harassment.
- Advise students to refrain from inciting students against other students, teachers, and college administration.
- Advise staff to be affectionate to students and not behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.
- Form a committee for prevention of atrocities against SC/ST students.
